BATON ROUGE - Jurors could begin deliberations today in the 2007 murder of two LSU grad students.
Casey Gathers and Michael Lewis are accused of second degree murder in the deaths of Kiran Allam and Chadrasekhar Komma. They were shot and killed during a robbery at the Edward Gay apartments.
Prosecutors called Devin Parker, who confessed to being a co-conspirator in the crime, to testify during the trial as part of a plea deal. He admitted to being under the influence the day of the crime, and said he'd forgotten several details about the crime scene.
Parker, who gave three different statements to police, claimed that investigators also roughed him up during his second statement, putting him under duress.
News 2 will have more on the trial starting at noon.
