Jury convicts man of child molestation
LIVINGSTON - A 33-year-old Pine Grove man will be sentenced Nov. 12 following his conviction on child molestation charges.
The jury deliberated for about an hour Friday before finding Charles Romero guilty.
Livingston Parish sheriff's detectives arrested Romero in April 2012, on accusations of molesting an 8-year-old girl when the girl visited his home.
The victim told an adult about the incident who then contacted police.
Romero faces a minimum of 25 years in prison because the victim was under the age of 13.
