The mayor of Wilson, La. will not be able to challenge an election which could remove him from office. Mayor Joshua Thomas took his complaint to an appeals court panel, after a judge ruled against him last week.
A recall petition accused him of refusing to work with the board of alderman and firing valuable town employees after he took office. Thomas argued that the petition was not handled properly and that some signatures were forged.
Thomas could take the battle to the Louisiana Supreme Court.
