Accused serial killer Jeffery Lee Guillory's attempt to get his sentence reduced in an unrelated case
has been denied.
State District Judge Edwin Rubin upheld his original sentence of 50 years at hard labor without benefit of probation or parole for Guillory for the attempted murder of a Lafayette woman.
Guillory was in jail in Baton Rouge for the Lafayette charges when evidence linked him to three murders in Baton Rouge.
He has yet to stand trial on those charges.
