A competency hearing for Sandra Joseph, charged with the 2009 Mardi Gras death of her 11-year-old son, has been delayed for a second time.

The hearing, designed to determine if Joseph is competent to stand trail on the charge of first-degree murder, was delayed earlier this year and reset for Thursday.

But once again, the required reports from the court-appointed sanity commission was not available and the hearing has now been delayed again, this time until April 9.

oseph is accused of repeatedly striking her son with her sport utility vehicle near Grand Coteau.

Joseph was indicted on the murder charge in the Feb. 21, 2009 death of her 11-year-old son, Samuel Udomeh.
