Jones Creek widening rolling along
BATON ROUGE- Road projects are moving along in the area, and another one is set to tackle trouble on a busy highway. Jones Creek is the next in line for a widening project.
The road will be widened between Tiger Bend and Coursey Boulevard and south to Jefferson Highway.
It's a mixed bag for business owners.
"It's kind of scary as far as working here for a business. We've seen businesses either get shut down or slow way down with all the construction," said Andrew "club" Ingram.
Ingram works at Rukus, a sporting goods store on Jones Creek.
Drivers also said they don't look forward to the extra hassle when construction crews begin work, but do look forward to the changes that will be made.
While some of the clearing work has started, planning still needs to be done. That will continue into February.
