Joint fire and homicide investigation: reward for information

HAMMOND- Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office is offering an extra $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of suspect(s) involved in a joint house fire and homicide.

It happened at 45158 North Baptist Rd. on October 24 around 5 p.m.

When TPSO and the Fire Department arrived at the home, they found Charles Anthony Ockman, 62, dead and his hands tied behind his back inside his home.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but authorities say it was not by natural causes.

The cause of Ockman's death is also still under investigation, and information will be released after an autopsy.

The investigation is being treated as a homicide with a possible arson.

Anyone with any information on this incident should call police.
