HOLDEN - A holiday classic is coming to the stage in Livingston Parish thanks to John Schneider Studios.

John Schneider himself appeared on News 2 at noon with details about Friday night’s stage presentation of a radio version of the 1946 Christmas masterpiece “It’s a Wonderful Life” at Camp Singing Waters in Holden.

Schneider says the family-oriented event will feature three performances with the first tonight at 6:30 p.m. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. so that kids in attendance can enjoy clowns, face painting, carolers, dancers, food, drinks and tons more. The Saturday performances are scheduled for 1 p.m. (gates at 11 a.m.) and 6:30 p.m. Children can really get into the holiday spirit with a visit to Santa and Mrs. Claus if they haven’t checked that off of their Christmas to-do list yet. Tickets are for adults are $35.00 ($45 at gate) and kids get in for $20 ($25 at gate).

To purchase tickets and get directions to the event, check out the play’s EventBrite page. You can get directions to the event by clicking here. There’s plenty more info about the performance itself and side events in the video above.
