ABC News is said to have offered George Stephanopoulos the job of "Good Morning America" co-anchor according to an executive with knowlege of the negotiations. Stephanopoulos hasn't said if he'll accept. He has been considered the top contender to fill the spot of Diane Sawyer when she leaves GMA to take the main anchor chair for "World News" when Charles Gibson retires later this month. ABC would not comment. The Washington Post also reports it's his job to accept.
