BEDFORD, N.H. - New Hampshire's Republican candidate for governor is getting a boost from Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, who also used his trip to the presidential battleground state to criticize President Barack Obama.
Jindal spoke Thursday at the New Hampshire Republican Party's "Unity Breakfast," aimed at bringing together former rivals after Tuesday's state primary election. He praised GOP gubernatorial nominee Ovide Lamontagne's (OH'-vid lah-MAHN'-tang) conservative agenda and pointed to his own successes in Louisiana as evidence that such an approach works.
Though he barely mentioned Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, Jindal called Obama an incompetent president whose administration has been marked by broken promises. He said Obama has done his best, but America can do better.
