BATON ROUGE - Governor Bobby Jindal scheduled a meeting this afternoon with Assumption Parish leaders to discuss the status of the Bayou Corne sinkhole, and what could done for displaced residents.
The meeting will be at 1 p.m. today at the governor's mansion in Baton Rouge.
The meeting comes after Bayou Corne residents met this past weekend with famed environmentalist Erin Brockovich. She encouraged residents who've been evacuated since last year to sue Texas Brine LLC, the owners of the failed salt dome cavern believed to have caused the sinkhole.
News 2 crews will have more on what was discussed or accomplished at this meeting tonight starting at 4 p.m.
