Jindal orders flags to fly at half-staff
BATON ROUGE - Governor Bobby Jindal ordered flags at state buildings to fly at half-staff after two sheriff's deputies were killed in the line of duty today.
Jindal issued an executive order this afternoon to honor the St. John the Baptist Parish sheriff's deputies killed in a shooting this morning at a LaPlace trailer park. One other deputy was injured there, and a second was injured earlier in a separate shooting with the same suspects.
Flags will fly at half-staff through sunset tomorrow.
