Jindal agrees with ATC chief's resignation
Governor Bobby Jindal's office says the governor agreed with the resignation of the Alcohol and Tobacco Control Commissioner.
Murphy Painter left his post after Gov. Jindal's staff confronted him about an ongoing investigation into the office.
Jindal's office wouldn't say if Jindal asked Painter to resign.
Painter held the position as Commissioner of the ATC since 1996.
