Jett kicked off float
SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA- Rocker Joan Jett was removed from the South Dakota tourism float in the Macy's Thanksgiving parade over her views on animal rights and being a vegetarian.
Ranchers from that state complained she wouldn't be a good representative.
Macy's says Jett and her Blackhearts band will be moved to another float.
The company also says the annual parade is about entertainment, not advocacy and all parties agreed it was best to put a new performer on the South Dakota float. Who that is, wasn't revealed.
