Jet Magazine goes digital
NEW YORK- No more print publications for Jet magazine.It's transforming into a digital app.
Jet first hit newsstands at the beginning of the Civil Rights movement in 1951.
Jet is the number three magazine in the African-American market with about 720,000 subscribers.
It was conceived by Johnson Publishing founder John Johnson as a newsweekly digest for African-Americans and currently publishes every three weeks.
The digital version will be weekly that will include video interviews and other elements.
Breaking news will be updated daily and there will be an annual print edition.
