WBRZ Sports 2 has learned Bethune-Cookman head coach Brian Jenkins has removed his name from the Southern University football coaching search.

Dr. Williams Broussard, Southern University's Athletics Director, will go through with his plan of presenting his recommended candidate to the Board of Supervisors Friday.

Three candidates were brought in to interview with Broussard -- Jenkins, James Spady(Nevada), and interim head coach Dawson Odums.
