Jefferson Parish woman killed by gunshots at home
GRETNA, La. - Jefferson Parish authorities say an 81-year-old woman has been shot and killed after someone fire into her home in the Bridge City community.
Sheriff Newell Normand says in a news release that it's not clear if the woman was the intended target in the shooting, but she was hit multiple times.
Normand says the shot came from outside the home when and bullet casings lined the street with a trail leading to Richardson's front door.
Normand says three others were in the house, including a 3-year-old girl, but the others weren't hurt.
