Jamie Lynn Spears uses knife to stop fight in Hammond
HAMMOND - Celebrity gossip site TMZ.com posted video to its website Tuesday, showing Britney Spears' sister, Jamie Lynn, apparently breaking up a brawl inside a Tangipahoa Parish eatery with a knife last month.
Jamie Lynn, 23, was at the Pita Pit on North Cate Street, an area of downtown that has been revitalized into businesses, restaurants, and pubs overlooking the railroad, with a friend when the friend got caught in the middle of a fight. Surveillance video barely catches the altercation but later shows Jamie Lynn go behind the counter, get a knife, and try to thwart the attackers.
While Jamie Lynn spears is behind the counter while she has the knife, she may have been threatening enough to end the melee. The video on TMZ shows the group leave soon after.
The website reported Hammond Police were called to the restaurant but no action was taken since Jamie Lynn's friend did not press charges.
