Jail releases mug shot of LSU baseball signee
BARTOW COUNTY, Ga.- The sheriff of this county, north of Atlanta, released the booking photo, or more infamously known as "mug shot," of LSU baseball signee Dylan Cade Williams.
Williams, of Rydal, Ga., was booked Tuesday on counts of possession with intent to distribute Schedule 1 drugs, trafficking Ecstasy, and a firearm charge.
LSU baseball coach Paul Mainieri tells the newspaper he was informed about the arrest late Wednesday night.
He said he talked with Williams' father Thursday morning.
From the conversation, Mainieri said, it was his understanding Williams happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Six others were arrested on drugs charges with Williams.
Williams signed a letter of intent to play baseball at LSU earlier this year after having previously verbally committed to Georgia Tech.
