The Southern Jags will be back in action this Saturday as they welcome Fort Valley State for Homecoming. "Our players have had some time off and I'm quite sure they'll be ready to go." Coach Richardson said at his weekly Wednesday press luncheon. The Jags most likely will be chomping at the bit to take the field at Mumford. Southern dropped their first loss in SWAC play on October 3rd to Jackson State, a team that was winless prior to that matchup. The Jags could capitalize on their Division II opponent before having to suit up five days later to face SWAC Division west foe Prairie View A&M on October 22nd.
