The Southern Jaguars are ready to take the show to conference. The Jags host Alcorn State Saturday at 6:00 in their SWAC Opener.

Southern tops the charts in total offense while Alcorn State brings up the rear in total defense.  Not only are the Braves sitting at 0-2, Alcorn's offense has been shut-out for both games.

The comparison of stats is as lopsided as any you've seen.  But give Alcorn some credit. Their blowout losses have come to two FBS teams: Southern Miss and Central Michigan.

"They haven't been successful this season, but they've played some outstanding football teams. They've faired well and I think their coaches did an outstanding job of preparation they just got out-manned on field." Coach Pete Richardson said in his Wednesday press conference.

The Jags will look to make it three straight over the Braves.
