Italian media reporting 8 avalanche survivors
FARINDOLA, Italy - Italian media are reporting that at least 8 people have survived Tuesday's avalanche in central Italy, including two children. Authorities tell State-run RAI and other news agencies that 5 of those survivors have been located and that helicopters will be taking them to hospitals. About 30 people were believed buried under the resort hotel in the snow-bound Abruzzo region.
