The fog is gone this morning, but we do have isolated showers developing ahead of a cold front north of Baton Rouge. These showers are mainly over South Mississippi and the Felicianas, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena and Tangipahoa Parishes. The rain is pretty light, but we could see a few thunderstorms develop over the same area later today. Otherwise, it is mostly cloudy with very warm temperatures in the lower 70s.
It will remain mostly cloudy this afternoon with isolated showers popping up as the cold front stalls over South Mississippi. That means we will stay warm and humid with highs in the lower 80s.
The muggy and cloudy weather will persist into the evening and overnight. Some patchy fog will be possible if the winds die down. Low temperatures will be in the upper 60s.
