IRS says quit checking so much
The IRS requests taxpayers stop checking its website and phone app every few minutes for updates on when their refunds are going out. It says its "Where's my refund?" feature is being overwhelmed. Instead of checking every five minutes, the IRS says check the site once a day. The agency says the best time to check on refunds is evenings and weekends. The IRS claims taxpayers normally get their refund in less than 21 days if they filed online and have it directly deposited into a bank account.
