Investigation continues after 2 bodies found in burning cars
LAFAYETTE - Investigators are still looking for leads as they try to identify a pair of victims found in burning cars early Tuesday morning in Lafayette Parish.
Deputies say they’re investigating each of the separate incidents as homicides, but they have yet to connect the possible murders.
KATC-TV reported on Tuesday that the first victim was found in Carencro. The second was located just hours later along Old Spanish Trail in Scott. Both bodies were discovered in cars that were engulfed in flames. The bodies were found between 1 and 3 a.m.
The cause of the individuals' deaths has yet to be determined.
