The intersection of 6100 Jefferson Highway and 6000 College Drive is closed until further notice because of a large tree limb.

The limb fell across Jefferson Highway damaging power lines and traffic lights. Crews from DOTD and Entergy are currently on scene working to restore all utilities as soon as possible.

If you have to go in that direction, you can detour onto S. Foster, Lobdell, Claycut or Government Streets.
