ST. FRANCISVILLE- The Angola Chase Team, West Feliciana Parish Sheriff's Deputies and St. Francisville Police Department are searching for an inmate who escaped from jail this evening.

It happened between 4:30 and 5:30pm this evening. Jail workers realized 45 year old David St. Germain was missing during a head count.

St. Germain was behind bars for burglary and a parole violation.

West Feliciana Parish Sheriff Austin Daniel said he has called residents in a three mile radius urging them to lock their doors and remove keys from their vehicles.

Deputies plan on searching throughout the night until St. Germain is caught.
