Ingram eager to return to Saints No. 2 offense
METAIRIE - While Saints tight end Jimmy Graham sat out practice on Wednesday, running back Mark Ingram has returned without limitations and is eager to rejoin one of the NFL's top-ranked offenses.
Ingram says he should be able to play in Detroit on Sunday with a soft pad over his left hand, which was broken in Week 2 and required surgery. Graham was at practice Wednesday with his helmet on, but sat out team drills while working his way back from a shoulder injury that sidelined him for most of New Orleans' Week 5 victory over Tampa Bay.
Saints quarterback Drew Brees says New Orleans has plenty of ways to move the ball even if Graham is out.
New Orleans averages nearly 443 yards per game, which ranks second in the NFL.
