Infant alone while parents went to store
BROOKLYN PARK, MARYLAND- An 8-month old was left alone and his parents face charges for leaving him while they walked to a convenience store.
The family was staying with a friend who called police after coming home to find the infant in an unlocked apartment. When the parents returned, they told police they thought the baby would be fine since he was sleeping. They walked to the store about a mile away.
Both are charged with neglect and leaving a child unattended and the baby is now in the care of its grandmother.
