HENDERSON, LA - Alligators are causing big problems for fishermen in the Henderson area.

The gators are destroying hoop nets set out by local fishermen.

Fishermen say an increase in the gator population around the area is at the center of the problem.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries announced they will issue more alligator tags for the area over the next two years.
