NEW ORLEANS - Bomb squad members removed several incendiary devices found in a truck abandoned outside a New Orleans bank this morning.
Police used a robot to remove some of the eight devices, and bomb technicians removed the rest from the vehicle outside the Whitney Bank on Canal.
The NOPD said they were told about the abandoned truck this morning, and an officer found the device inside around 9 a.m.
Police evacuated the bank and nearby business, and stopped traffic on Canal near the scene.
The devices will be detonated or defused by the bomb squad at another location. Investigators are also trying to contact the owner of the truck.
