Inauguration plans Begin
Leaders in Congress have already started planning the Presidential Inauguration even though the election is still seven months off. What they hope to avoid is a mishap from 2009 when thousands of ticket holders were trapped in a tunnel underneath the National Mall and were shut out of Barack Obama's swearing in. It was referred to as the "purple tunnel of doom." Democrat Senator Charles Schumer of New York assured colleagues that problem was resolved. The group also approved more than a million dollars for the event on January 21, 2013.
