In wake of boss's arrest, "Sons of Guns" canceled
BATON ROUGE- The popular TV show "Sons of Guns" has effectively been canceled in the wake of the gun boss that was the star of the program being arrested twice on child sex charges.
"Given the serious and horrific nature of the charges against Will Hayden, we have decided to halt further production of Sons of Guns and cancel the series," a rep for Discovery told WBRZ News 2 Wednesday.
William Hayden was most recently arrested Tuesday on aggravated rape charges. Less than three weeks earlier, he was arrested on child molestation charges. Both cases center around the same 12-year-old girl.
Red Jacket Firearms, the company Hayden ran up until Wednesday, built specialty firearms. The company said after Hayden's recent arrest the two split as legal entities. Calls to the company Wednesday were not answered.
