In unanimous vote, Baker selects Brister for superintendent
BAKER - In a unanimous decision, the City of Baker School Board hired Herman Brister as its next superintendent.
Brister is currently the Associate Superintendent for Instructional Support Services for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. The Baker board made its decision to hire him away from the EBR school system Tuesday night.
Brister was the lone finalist for the job, being vacated by Ulysses Joseph. Joseph announced in March he would retire May 28.
