WALKER - The City of Walker is looking for improvements to the Interstate 12 interchange.
Mayor Bobby Font said three designs are being considered, and they all allow more traffic capacity to the entrance and exit ramps. They also include three additional lanes on the Highway 447 overpass.
Mayor Font said it's too early to determine exactly how much the project will cost, but he estimates it will be in the $35-50 million range. He said he will ask state lawmakers to support the project once plans are more concrete.
You can find all three designs and a place to leave comments on the City of Walker Web site.
