Tangipahoa Parish, LA- One man is dead after being involved in single vehicle crash in Tangipahoa Parish.

It happened shortly after 7:00 a.m. Friday morning on Interstate 55, just north of Independence exit.

Troopers say 21 year-old Letcher Winston, of Amite, was headed north on I-55, when he ran off the median, overturned and hit a tree.

Winston, who was not wearing his seatbelt, was ejected and died at the scene.

Drug impairment is suspected in the crash.
