In the wake of Kobe Bryant's death, players, teammates and friends have sent their condolences via social media. That includes former NBA and LSU star, Shaquille O'Neal.

O'Neal and Bryant played together on the Los Angeles Lakers from 1996 to 2004. The two were able to win three consecutive NBA Championships and make an NBA Finals appearance in 2004.

Shaq posted multiple pictures of Bryant and himself on the Lakers team along with a message honoring his former teammate.

"There’s no words to express the pain I’m going through now with this tragic and sad moment of loosing my friend, my brother, my partner in winning championships, my dude and my homie. I love you brother and you will be missed. My condolences goes out to the Bryant family and the families of the other passengers on board. IM SICK RIGHT NOW!"

Shaq went onto tweet again talking about the great person Bryant was and the love he had for his family. He mentioned that Kobe's daughter Gigi was born on the same day at his youngest daughter.

It was later revealed Bryant's 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, was among the nine killed in the crash. Authorities are still working to determine the cause of the crash.
