BATON ROUGE – A woman who used a stolen identity to apply for a store’s credit card is being sought by authorities in Baton Rouge.

Casey Hicks with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office said on Dec. 13 the woman went into the Pep Boys on Airline Highway with a baby, and applied for the store’s credit card using someone else’s information.

She was approved for a line of credit and used it to buy four electric scooters worth just less than $1,000.  The woman had the scooters delivered to a residence off of North Foster and drove away in a white Chevrolet Impala.

Anyone with information about the incident or the subject’s identity should call the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office at (225) 344-7867.
