Icing on area roads, including I-10

BATON ROUGE - According to Louisiana State Police, some roadways are freezing over.

The following closures have been reported to us by LSP/DOTD:

St Mary’s Parish:
• US 90 remains closed from the Calumet Bridge to LA 83. Traffic is being routed from US 90 onto LA 182 in Calumet. Motorist are being advised to remain on LA 182 until they get through Baldwin.

Pointe Coupee Parish:
• (Update) US 190 is temporarily closed at the Krotz Springs Bridge due to treatment for ice on the bridge.

Earlier this morning, I-10 in both directions were shut down between Gonzales and Prairieville for two hours due to ice.

The Sunshine Bridge has also been reopened. It was shutdown earlier off and on this morning due to icing.

Earlier this morning, both directions were shutdown between Prairieville and Gonzales due to a buildup of ice.
