I-12 eastbound is open again after an accident involving an 18-wheeler.

Firefighters on scene tell News 2 that the 18-wheeler avoided an accident with a broke-down trailer in the road. The 18-wheeler went into the median, crashed, and ruptured its diesel tank.

Two people were inside of the 18-wheeler. One transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Firefighters are currently working to get the 18-wheeler off the interstate at this time. Westbound traffic is being diverted to Highway 190.

I-12 westbound is still closed.
