Traffic on Interstate 10 near Grosse Tete is closed right now because of a major accident involving an 18-wheeler.

Currently, westbound traffic is being diverted at LA 415.

A truck travelling eastbound crossed the median and sideswiped an 18-wheeler in the westbound lane causing a fire.

Louisiana State Police say at least one person is dead, and a 15-year-old girl walked away from the accident.

I-10 is completely shutdown. Stay tuned to News 2 for further updates throughout the day.
