BATON ROUGE - All lanes are back open on I-10 West before the Mississippi River Bridge after debris blocked part of the roadway for five hours.

The Dept. of Transportation and Development said traffic was backed up on I-10 West all the way across town to Siegen Lane, and traffic on I-12 West was backed up to Essen.

Some sheet metal that fell off a truck blocked part of the interstate at the I-10/110 split starting around 11:30 a.m. Crews reduced traffic to one lane in order to remove the debris and clear the interstate.
