I-10 reopened after wreck with serious injury
PRAIRIEVILLE - State Police said two people were taken to the hospital after a wreck which forced authorities to close I-10 for a time in Ascension Parish.
The wreck happened at mile marker 171 near Prairieville on I-10 East. State Police said a car went off the road and hit a tree on its passenger side, seriously injuring the two people inside.
Authorities said one patient had to be flown by Acadian AirMed to a local hospital, and the other was taken by ground ambulance.
State Police closed the eastbound side of the interstate while they cleared the wreck. It was reopened at around 3:30 p.m.
