BATON ROUGE - Bad weather forced construction workers to reschedule planned demolition of an old overpass bridge on I-10 in East Baton Rouge Parish.
A spokesperson said construction crews had to put off the work because of strong weather moving in this afternoon.
The demolition would remove the old I-10 bridge over the KCS railroad tracks between Pecue Lane and Highland Road. Plans are to replace it with a wider bridge that could handle the planned six lanes of I-10.
The demolition was tentatively rescheduled to Aug. 10.
