I-10 bridge at Pearl River: Weekend lane closures
PEARL RIVER, La. - Louisiana State Police say weekend traffic on Interstate 10 will be slow at the Louisiana-Mississippi state line. That's because crews are repairing expansion joints on the I-10 State Line Bridge at Pearl River, closing some lanes.
Master Trooper Greg Marchand says transportation departments in both states recommend using other routes if possible.
Eastbound traffic can take U.S. 11 north to Interstate 59 north, then take Mississippi Highway 43 south to I-10.
Westbound traffic can go north on Mississippi 43, then south on Interstate 59 to I-10.
Passenger vehicles can also use U.S. 90. Marchand says that route's not available for commercial traffic because of weight restrictions on some bridges.
The Pearl River bridge lane closures began Friday evening and will end at 6 a.m. Monday.
