Hwy. 44 projects cause traffic concerns
GONZALES- New traffic lights are expected to control the flow of new traffic that could come as a result of new developments along Hwy. 44 near I-10.
A community college, an expanding business development, and real-estate are all planned for the area.
Drivers have expressed concerns over traffic conditions the projects will bring to the area.
City leaders said three lights are planned: one on each side of I-10 on Hwy. 44 and a third at the entrance to the development.
Projects could be completed by Summer 2014.
