Hurricane season begins Monday, 10 years after Katrina and Rita
BATON ROUGE - The official start to the 2015 hurricane season is here.
Starting June 1st and going through November 30th, it will be important to be ready for a tropical event.
The start of the 2015 season marks a decade since the most active hurricane season in history.
The 2005 season produced a record high of 31 tropical depressions, 15 hurricanes, and 7 major hurricanes. Apart of that tally includes hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
