WBRZ - Baton Rouge

The Houma Police Department has an added presence in downtown Houma in order to keep up with increasing foot traffic drawn by development and revitalization efforts.

The agency converted a few rooms in the old Houma City Hall's first floor to house traffic and criminal patrol divisions.

Six officers will work from the building, focusing part of their patrols on the downtown area.
