Hottest day this week
One more red-hot day is on the way before storms provide a slight cool down.
As instability slowly increases, this afternoon will feature a few more high-topped clouds than the previous two. The heat will go unchanged however with highs heading for the mid 90s, dew points stuck in the mid 70s and subsequent feels-like temperatures over 100°. Today will likely be the hottest of the week.
The overnight hours will be rather warm and muggy with some locations failing to fall out of the 80s. A spotty shower is possible as clouds increase.
