Hotels fill up, sell out ahead of Swift/Superfest weekend
BATON ROUGE - Hotels around Baton Rouge are filling up as music fans swarm the Capital Area this weekend for Taylor Swift and the Bayou Country Superfest.
Some inns are sold out.
The Baton Rouge Marriott says it's more than 90 percent full, and housing in and around Baton Rouge has more than double the usual number of guests this for the weekend.
"Memorial Day weekend is a great weekend for all the businesses in Baton Rouge because of Bayou Country Superfest," said Marriott General Manager, Ralph Ney. "In the past, we haven't had as much business, prior to Country Fest, now we're selling out."
Visit Baton Rouge CEO, Paul Arrigo, says the three day event will draw more than 100,000 people to Tiger Stadium and recommends booking a place to stay as soon as possible.
Tickets for the shows are still available online and at the fan fest location on the LSU campus starting tomorrow.
Parking maps are available on the Bayou Country Superfest website.
